Re: Daimler Roadster Overdrive

There again 3000 rpm doesn't sound particularly arduous for a straight six.

Re: Conquest chassis oiling system bleeding

Yes that's how I understand the system works. Where did you find the schematic Steve? Does it look as if the balls could be displaced under pressure?

Re: Conquest chassis oiling system bleeding

Thanks Steve,

Do you know how the one way valves work? The manual just says if they don't function the expansion tank is not serviceable and must be replaced.

Bearing in mind that the one way valves in the expansion tank allow the oil to flow in one direction, would it be feasible to bleed the system from the reservoir side of the expansion tank rather than the other side as Daimler suggest?

At least we don't need anti stall software with our fluid flywheels! :D

I think there is more than a grain of truth in that.

Or is it more about reducing crime? No more villains escaping the Old Bill (assuming emergency vehicles won't be restricted)!

Re: Engine woes. ! !

Did you do a compression check on the engine?

Is the crankcase breather system working ok (no blockage)?

If you have 'Relay' you can specify for it to be taken back home or to the nearest garage. It's your choice.
