Well done Stuart.
Not enough people doing proper restorations these days, especially on the older saloons.

Re: Help. DB18 oil pressure
FWIW my mechanic says synthetic oils are formulated for modern engines and should not be used in cars such as a DB18. Certainly modern engines operate with very much finer tolerances. I also have heard from V8 owners that a lot of modern oils don't have enough zinc in them, as modern engines do not ...

Re: Conquest Wiring
Hi Chaps,
Many thanks for all the replies and offers.
I have managed to get my hands on a new Conquest saloon loom, so it's a start.
Dave Philpott says there are no specific diagrams for the Drophead, so I will have to adapt a saloon loom to fit.
Thanks again

Conquest Wiring
Hi All,
I have a Conquest Drophead.
Has anyone got a wiring diagram for one?
I assume it's different from the saloon. Would I be able to adapt a saloon loom?
If anyone can email me a wiring diagram I would be most appreciative.
Cheers

Re: Early SP rear engine seal
Thanks Dave.
I 'm hoping Steve in New Zealand can help me out.
How critical is the size , as David Manners list .077 and .0795 as possible sizes.
I think Steve in NZ got his from Russ Carpenter.
Cheers

Early SP rear engine seal
Hi Guys, I'm rebuilding an early SP engine that has a pair of metal rings on the rear of the crankshaft that acts as an oil seal. The later cars have a conventional rear seal. David Manners has them in his catalogue but there are none in stock and they cannot advise when they will get any. Does anyo...

Re: Lanchester LD10
The Barker cars had different shafts to the Briggs. Adrian Hanwell may very well have spares. Seems to be a common fault. My Barker had a very worn differential and one of the shafts was twisted, so I replaced the complete axle assembly with a secondhand one from a Briggs. I have yet to drive the ca...

Correction, from the front bumper and bonnet it looks like a DB18 convertible.
