They did have a rubber stop in them supposedly to keep the jacking point free of road debris but often used to fill with water and rot from inside out hence your problem

Obviously all the jacking points are knackered, and have had a variety of repairs over the years. I had hoped there'd be at least one whole jacking point I could use as reference but there isn't, I'll just have to figure it out from what's on our car and start from scratch with them.
