Hi all,
Has anyone any experience/tips on replacing the bushes in the linkage eyes on the Luvax units fitted to '30's Daimlers?
Where can you source new bushes from?
Which oil is recommended?

As Graham says the one you have is an older pump identical to the one fitted to my 1934 LQ2/20 before I removed it in favour of an electric system. The number on top of the float bowl is 856518.

There is (at least last time I looked) one for sale on ebay which I think is a genuine 'new old stock' one but it is terrifyingly expensive. The previous owner of mine had a new worm drive made but again the cost was frightening.

Having re read your post and checked my spare parts book I think the hub bearing nuts probably are R/H & L/H threaded as they have separate part numbers. Chris Storey; If I understand it correctly it looks like a previous owner has transposed the hubs on the rear axle causing the anomaly. My own...

I had a new one bespoke made for my LQ2/20 in 2018. It cost £800 but they did a superb job. I know the LQ engine isn't any performer and was intended to run quietly & smoothly but even so there was no increase in noise.
