With regards to DB18 handles there are currently moves to get new ones made in brass.
The company making them have samples to work from but have yet to confirm price and possible delivery date.

Re: Majestic Major Door Handles
Unfortunately I don't know of anyone with any spares at this time.
If anyone could post a picture it might help someone realise what they have stuck on a shelf gathering dust.

Re: David Beales Engineering
Still trading, mainly through his eBay shop which works very well going by feedback ratings.
Admittedly not all of his services are advertised on the shop site which doesn’t help. There should be an email link on the site though.

Re: Special Sports fuel issue
Just a thought, if it’s taking some priming when it stops have you checked the floats?
I had a leaking one on my Consort which caused running issues.
There are some military specification ones which won’t leak and should not be affected by ethanol based petrol.

You could try advertising it on eBay or the club magazine. It looks too good to scrap. How much do you want for it?

Re: Dynamo - water pump interface
The wiring connection is the blackish coloured Bakelite piece behind the spring. It looks correct for a Daimler 15. I just can't think why someone would add a fan.

Re: Dynamo - water pump interface
I can confirm that the replacement pump is one made by me and supplied by Derek Sleigh. I was confused by the additional fan on the dynamo. Having seen a good number of 15 dynamos and water pumps over recent years it was the first one. I have checked the fit of replacement pump on a dynamo and there...

Re: 1910 Russell-Knight (Daimler engine)
It’s worth remembering that water pumps with gland packing should leak. If it isn’t leaking the packing is too tight and you run the risk of damaging the shaft. There are alternatives to the original asbestos rope types of gland packing including PTFE based ones however on replacement pumps that I h...

Re: Daimler 15 quiz
A friend made the mistake of not removing the bolts when sending his engine for reconditioning.
Needless to say it came back without the bolts.
