The last time I saw the Copart listing the price was £450 but it must have gone for something slightly higher. Has the chap realised what he's bought and come to the conclusion that it's more than he can deal with? I would hate one of the banger racers to buy it.

It seems there isn't a level playing field with auction houses. Some require an ID proof if bidding over a certain amount, Brightwells don't want any, or appear not to, yet recently I have been asked for photo ID if I want to bid over £6,500 by another auction site.

If you ask David Beales it might have the details of the Consort chassis he fitted with a 2.5 V8 engine mated to a pre-selector gearbox. It fitted quite well.
