Hi, I would do a compression test on each cylinder. This should show if you have a head gasket problem.

Hi, Someone told me that they are the same as Triumph. Looking on ebay someone is offering replacements at £22 a pair.

I modified the gearwheel by drilling another hole opposite at the correct position to achieve 110deg. sweep.
Unfortunately I cannot remember the offset distance as this was some years ago but from what you say you could measure the other one you have.

Hi All, Whilst resetting static timing recently I found the damper Metalastic bonding had failed and the timing ring could be rotated on its flange thereby giving a false reading.
Damper now replaced.

Hi, It sounds like the cut off valve in your float chamber is not operating. I would remove the lid of the chamber and test it by blowing through the inlet and lifting the fork.
