Re: Seized clutch on SP
Hi, The other thing to check is that if the slave cylinder is working, is the cross shaft that operates the release bearing actually moving. If it is then the taper pin that holds the fork that operates the release bearing has probably sheared. This happened to me some time ago and unfortunately the...

Re: SP250 TRUNNION Assembly and adjustment
On recent examination of the rubber seals on my car, I found they were cracked and in the process of disintegrating. I happened to have some rubber hose by me that is a really tight fit on the trunnions so I made replacements using this. The hose rubber is considerably thicker than the original seal...

Re: Can the distributor skew gear be removed from above?
Hi, Could you perhaps use a wooden dowel with a slot cut into its end face to rotate the oil pump gear.

Re: Can the distributor skew gear be removed from above?
Hi, Just in case you did not know. The skew gear is a press fit on the oil pump driveshaft so comes out in one piece. Watch out for the thrust washer under the gear. this usually comes out with the gear due to the oil film on the underside of the gear.

Re: Can the distributor skew gear be removed from above?
Hi, Yes it can. you do not need to remove those other items. If you remove the distributor you will then see the offset slot in the top of the skew gear. this can be wound out with a flat blade located in the slot. I cannot remember which way you wind it but it will only go one way. If you carefully...
