I can't speak for the Trader Sheet I can only relay what we were taught at college 50 years ago, that is 0.003" per inch of bore. Not too different from the figures you've already got.

I had similar thoughts to Syd when I read the post. When I was an apprentice they taught us to hammer red hot metal on an anvil. There were no computers as such, those that were resembled a three bedroom house.

You may have to do some research but that looks exactly the same colour as a 1953 Morris Minor which was the first I owned. Sorry I don't know what it was called but at least it's a starting point.
