Unbelievable!
I would have thought the manual overdrive gearbox would be very difficult to source, and there is one available!
Brilliant!!!

Re: Unkown Daimler?
Hi, I have sent a copy of the photo to the DE registrar Peter Ruifrok, and also Brian Smith. It will be interesting to know if the chassis number and details are listed by the Club. Wonderful to think another one of these beautiful and stately Daimlers has survived. Hope someone see that it is worth...

Re: DE27 window regulator springs
Hi Paul,
Stupid question but given what looks like a very solid spring, have you tried some penetrating oil to loosen things up and maybe improve the action?
By the way how is the power steering adventure proceeding?
Cheers

Re: E20 for sale in Queensland, Australia
Hi, I remember this car as a wonderful vehicle, I saw it in Adelaide some years ago when it was owned by a doctor who looked after it very well but was selling it as he was using it less and less and getting older himself. No ideas how it looks now but if it is anything like the car I remember it as...

Re: Special sport boot stays
Hi Gary, When I first bought my car the boot stayed open. Then I cleaned and oiled the mechanism and since then it won’t stay open. I have a chromed extending stick (the sort you can buy to prop under a hotel door to stop unwanted visitors) and it works a treat. The rubber foot sits under the boot l...

Re: DB18/2 Gearbox Mount
Hi Mark
I kept it in case somebody wanted to make up a new one: I’ll check for holes.
Cheers and good to hear of the improvement in pick up and gear changing.

Re: DB18/2 Gearbox Mount
Hi Mark, I can respond with a resounding YES. After years of the fluid flywheel oil seal leaking on my Special Sports the rear gearbox was maybe even worse than the one in your photograph. Having the new unit in place has straightened things up and there is a notable lessening of vibration in the dr...

Re: Db18/2 brakes
Hi Mark, Do you mean the square boss on each rear wheel? the adjustment is to jack up the wheel tighten the adjuster until there is no movement of the wheel and then release until two clicks are heard and the wheel revolves freely? Works a treat doesn't it? Good for the DE range also. Cheers peter g...

Looking at the scale of the maps shown on your Map O Matic the Ladies Model should have come with reading glasses as well as sunglasses!
