Re: SP250 lower wishbone
My reason for asking this simple question is I will have to order new longer bolts. I need to correct the camber angle, I have made up new shims but the bolts on the front lower wishbone are already holding the rack and pinion rack bracket and there is not enough thread left to accommodate the extra...

SP250 lower wishbone
What are the size of the bolts that hold the inner ends of the lower wishbones to the chassis.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Engine bay paint
Hi Terry, apologies for the delay in replying. The body colour is ivory which I sprayed with cellulose paint. The engine bay is again ivory but obviously a brushing paint and I was able to get a fairly good match. Unfortunately the original undercoat tin had dried out over the years but this company...

Re: Engine bay paint
Hi Terry I have done what you are intending to do but my engine is in place so had to paint round it. I used a brushing paint which worked satisfactorily with no runs. I would think it will be quite difficult spraying into the engine space with a number of internal corners that will cause the spray ...

Re: SP250 Air filters
Thanks for the replies. John I daren't stick my ear to close to the carburettor for fear of losing my new hearing aid down the intake. I put it down to the hearing aid that I am now hearing the hiss/whistle that I couldn't hear before. And yes I use a Gunson balancing device to set both carbs up air...

Re: SP250 Air filters
Nick/Andrew, I have followed you instructions to the letter, including Andrews suggestion of extra width on the filter material. The carburettors now produce a whistling noise, have either of you two experienced this. It is most annoying.
Thanks Paul

Re: which engine crane
This photo shows the engine and gearbox together with the new overdrive being put back in the car. When I removed the engine and gearbox initially it was a question of lifting and pushing the car back a bit at a time to clear the engine compartment. I managed to do this both taking out and replacing...

Re: SP250 Replacement Leaf Springs
Thanks John. On Brian Hills conversion the bar that passes under the rear seat bore against the body work there on my car and thus caused the annoying squeak even though I tried putting some padding in. Is Roberts version well clear at that point.
