That should fun getting the gearbox back in the car without losing a lot of oil out through the filler as you surely have to turn the box on its side to man handle it back into position.

I have mislaid page H19/20 of my workshop manual, they refer to the gearbox counter shaft. I am hoping some one could copy those pages and post them

Just removed the cover on my SP and removing the hand brake bolts certainly makes life easier. The gearbox has to come out as I have lost first and reverse, the gear lever jumps out as soon as the drive takes up. It will be interesting to see what's happened. All other gears and overdrive work.

I am confused, interior block surfaces, I am thinking cylinder bores, plainly this is not what is being referred to. So where are these interior surfaces.

Replacement keys bought on eBay. I found the lost set in our everyday car in a small lidded compartment, I must of put them there while shuffling cars round.

Thank you all for your help, I have sourced them on eBay. I think I must have had a senior moment as having driven the SP during the day I put it away in the garage and locked up. The following day went to get the keys nowhere to be found hunted high and low a complete mystery.
