Re: SP250 Brake Pedal Travel

The SP250 manual shows a restrictor, so the reason many cars have had it removed is a mystery.

Re: SP250 Brake Pedal Travel

My car hasn't got a restrictor, and it seems many cars don't. I was told once that there is a (hopefully small) risk with the restrictor jamming the brakes on, which would be very frightening! If you get a restrictor, make sure you test it!

Re: SP250 Brake Pedal Travel

Very typical, the same with my Dart. I always pump twice.

No doubt someone will reply with a technical reason, but you may have to get used to it unless it's very soft all the time.

Re: Whiskers

I am planning to fit whiskers to my SP250. I would be grateful if someone could let be know whether they are handed (ie different), or the same on both sides. They look identical to me. Remember that stainless steel looks slightly different than chromium. In my photo below the V is s/s but is so sm...

Pedal cyclist's obstruction

I came up behind a pedal cyclist who moved into the centre of the road to block me, then moved to the side to let me pass, then I saw in my mirror that he was waving in what looked like an aggressive manner. Did he expect me to follow him slowly along a country lane? https://youtu.be/KXd6tZosKrQ Abo...

Re: Wanted fluid flywheel parts

If the upload shows a message that the image is too large, it may be the file size in KiB (max 2 MB or 2000 KiB at 01/09/2020). Size in px is unlimited but 800 x 600 px is quite sufficient for a website (obviously a huge size in px will have a very large file size in KiB). Most computers have image ...

Re: Problems with getting access to this forum

Brian, you could have emailed me or edited a previous post to avoid separate posts. I have posted this OK and the software is up to date, so I don't think the problem can be the forum software. It must be local to some members' connection or at the DLOC server. I have asked Graham Emmett and Peter B...

Re: Problems with getting access to this forum

Brian, I never use the forum link on the DLOC website, I have bookmarked it in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge to get to the forum directly. I think that avoids a delay through the DLOC website server. Richard, logging in every time shouldn't be necessary. I've saved the login and haven't had to lo...
