Re: E20 engine question

They are most likely for the valve spring compressor. This screws to the cylinder head studs and because there's a circlip round the top of the valve stem, the spring can be compressed and changed for a new one if broken without any further dismantling being necessary. It would be a long job for a s...

Re: Trico Vacuum Washer Fault Finding Instructions

I use one in my 1959 Jaguar. For those not familiar with them there can be an expectation that water will squirt immediate and whilst the button is pressed. In fact you have to press the button for a few seconds, release and wait a few more seconds. Works well if everything is in good order.

Re: Db18 tyres

I’ve used Blockley tyres successfully with different cars. If they can supply a size suitable for your car, I’d recommend you give them serious consideration. I’ve also found their prices compare well with other makes. All the best, Ranald

Re: E20 engine question

I’m not familiar with this engine but I do have a digital copy of TC102 for the E20. On page 53 I’ve had a look through the list of Bolts, Studs, Nuts etc under the heading of’Engine’. Re: LA10 Possible drag in Top Gear?

I’m not sure what the method of ignition advance / retard you have on your car. I’m wondering if it needs advancing. Do you have a manual lever you can adjust whilst driving to see if you experience any difference.

Sold for £13,750. Not sure if that includes commission. Quite a strong price considering the estimate.

Re: Worm and wheels identification.

Hi Marcel, I’m wondering if it might relate to the Lanchester 15/18. Unfortunately, my desktop computer is out of action and I only have digital copies of the Parts Books, so I can’t check at the moment. Do you have TC68 and TC72? I do have a hard copy of TC82 (Lanchester 18) and although as you say...
