Re: DAIMLER V8 250 SALOON REGISTRATION NO. WPG 869G

With that much "buyer's premium" to be added I wonder if the auctioneers expect anyone to bid.

800 x 19 tyres

I have looked at Longstone and Blockley and neither supplies 800 x 19 tyres. I have found a company that does but they are OOS at the moment. Could anyone recommend an alternative source please?

Re: Daimler 250 v8 Rear Bumper Thin Type.

Could it be that it's for another model of Daimler such as a 420 Sovereign? I have a front bumper I could measure if that helps

Re: Guess how many

Correct but did you have a little "help"? I attended that rally and enjoyed the wide variety of cars. It seems, from the list, that John Pochin had at least four cars entered. I really couldn't believe the huge number that had applied to attend, a far cry from recent rallies where we might...

Re: Guess how many

Given the relatively low turnout last year and bear in mind this was 27 years ago try a little higher!

Guess how many

I found some old copies of the DM recently and was reading one dated 1996. It was the Centenary year and held at Coventry. Would anyone like to hazard a guess how many entries there were? No cheating please!

Re: Distributor Cap seized

Try a T towel, not when "The Boss" is watching, soak it in boiling water close to the car and wrap it around the cap to see if instant heat can free it off. You could also try squirting some Plusgas around the join first.

Re: Rubber bushes of polyurethane?

Thank you for your replies gentlemen. I was asking what grade of polyurethane would be used and the details provided by Rach 250 are exactly what I wanted
I have a machine shop which is fairly local and if I ask them if they can obtain bars of polyurethane they can make some bushes to fit.

Re: DE tyres

New Dexter wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 7:54 pm I know a non-member who would like some. His car is a DE36 so he would need six. Price is a factor but given that the nearest tyre is a Michelin 7.50 x 17 the diameter of them is smaller and thus so is the rolling radius.

Rubber bushes of polyurethane?

Some suggestions please. Some of the links between suspension units and the axle are short lengths of bar with bushes each end. Being rubber they deteriorate. Polyurethane seems the way to go but which grade of polyurethane?
