The idea of a recalibrated Rev counter is an idea I hadn’t considered. Who might be a reputable company ? Thanks Peter. I suspect there are lots if missing or broken units, but getting a manufacturer and enough people to commit will be a challenge. If anyone knows who is or can make them Or even the small Gears that would be great. Maybe get the available MGTC version and swap the gears ? In the meantim...

Steve, if you are a member of the DLOC, they can probably help with scans of Parts Lists, though I doubt there is a Workshop Manual. Maybe an Owners Handbook ?

Mike - it’s broken !! To remove the top of the stator tube, disconnect wiring from the bottom of the steering column. Then at top of steering wheel remove the chromed slotted screw.
