Yes, that is a very striking Consort - I do like the mix of black & silver coachwork.
As you say Mark, a great snip at £9K at the ACA and that included the buyer's premium. I note Brightwells set their BP at 12%

Re: And a Volvo five-speed
Ivor,
I should have added that the ZF4-HP22 is a 4-speed box which of course is a bonus over the BW-35; with the Volvo unit more so again.
Regards.
Richard.

Re: Antifreeze
It certainly has, frequently. Classics require BLUE AF, be it all iron or an iron / alloy configuration. Modern cars generally use an OAT AF, if you click on the Halfords website you can select the AF option along with entering your 2011 registration. The result will tell you about the correct AF fo...

Re: V8 Saloon Brake Servo anti Vibration mounts
Hello Paul, Looking at the photo, that appears to be an electrical grommet often used to allow wires to pass through metal panels, such as a bulkhead. Referencing the SNG Barratt website - far better than DMG I have to say - these brake servo grommets are shown as available. I believe this is what y...

Re: And a Volvo five-speed
Ivor, The Volvo 5-speed auto box is a known conversion for the V8 saloon and becoming more popular, partly because of availability and the cost of the unit. In fact, a couple of V8 saloon owners in the East Sussex Branch are in the process of doing this conversion. Historically, the ZF4-HP22 auto bo...

Re: Battery cables
Okay, that's clearer and sounds like you are now on your way. Of note and it is worth mentioning, the earth / ground cable should always match the mm2 of the supply cable. I have seen a number of wiring updates which have fallen foul of this by folk using far too thin an earth cable which is certain...

Re: Battery cables
Hello David. Can we confirm a few basics, please ?? 1- What type of charging system do you have on your car; dynamo or alternator........... I am presuming the former, unless an upgrade has been done if that is possible ?? 2- What is the length of the cable(s) that you are intending to use ?? The re...

Re: Missing log book
The chassis number on the V8 saloon is located at 2x points: 1- chassis plate on the LH inner wing, which has the relevant reference numbers. 2- on the bonnet release panel in front of the rad; if the car has been resprayed the number may not be very visible. According to my archive records you have...
