Re: Old Forum
I have a pdf of Kev Monk's and Mark Mears' posts covering their restorations which are excellent references. I have tried many times in the last month or so to access the old forum as I find useful information there which is not otherwise available. I tried the waybackmachine archive of old sites bu...

Re: DE 27 Bleeding Brakes
I have a copy of the Girling Brakes leaflet for the DE 27 /36 range. This shows the flexible hydraulic hoses which attach to the front wheel cylinders as having a bleed nipple on the connector. I attach a copy of the not very clear picture and hope it helps.

Re: 1956 Hooper Empress III
My 1956 Conquest NDHC uses a Union FP series key. The same key fits all locks. My 1961 SP250 also use a FP series key, though the boot and glove box have a number that differs from the ignition key. The key number is stamped on the ignition keyhole. On the boot lock there is a stamp beside the lock ...

Re: SP Wiper Motor Specs
I actually have a DR3 Lucas Wiper motor fitted 75311J. This is a 2 speed motor with reversing to the park position, the park is shown as to the right (a little arrow on the cover of the motor). I'm not sure what the angle of wipe is on mine but they work pretty well. The rack for this wiper includes...

Re: SP Wiper Motor Specs
My Lucas parts catalogue states that the wiper motor is a DR2 part 75371A which has a 90 degree angle of wipe. Same motor was used in the Triumph TR3 and Triumph Herald for 1959 - 60.

Re: Two SP250 Starter questions
M418G is 4.18" diameter
M45G is 4.5" diameter
Apparently Lucas did have adapter plates to allow the fitting of the later starter motors.
