Hi Alan, thx for the quick reply, will get the ash frames and rear wood areas completed as you advised, what did you treat the new wood with, can't find the answer you gave on the old forum, black/ebony woodstain or something else? all the best Tony.

Hi Alan, I'm used to it with my father! although I need some picture help, with the lower rear wing swage line as it comes down towards the rear part it changes from vertical to a horizontal surface I think, as I mentioned before all the body mouldings are crafted filler and chicken wire so not sure...

Hi Bob! thanks for the quick reply, woollies have a similar moulding, like you said not identical but close, as for bending maybe the front part down the screen pillar might benefit with being bent/cut and tig welded to shape. back to it!. all the best Tony

Hi Guys, stripping down reveals more wood rot in-fact the inner arch fell off. also the guttering alu section has rotted/dissolved in parts as a previous owner used pozi-drive screws in-place of brass screw/rivets, so will need both sides although I can't find any new alu sections like this gutterin...

Hi guys, will post updates as I go along, although I take more pics before I start a resto than during and after, just glad to be getting on with it! I need to brace the rear body as it's very wobbly before I take the remains of the arches out and replace the inner edge of metal. great to have help ...

Hi Just starting to conclude my 11 resto after it has been sitting in situ awaiting my return from various family responsibilities etc, after stripping it down, many problems are seen woodrot ,woodworm etc and chicken wire with filler a-plenty, in fact all the body panel mouldings are crafted filler...
