Re: 1957 Daimler 104 Sportsman
Due to the holiday season I haven't yet been able to get to grips with re-commissioning the car but I'm busy ordering and sourcing parts. I have some air hose to connect to the heater motor to the exterior so I won't have to breath engine fumes. I was surprised that the shroud for the heater motor w...

Arm rests
Does anyone have an adjustable armrest like this that they would sell?

More from me from previous shows especially for readers abroad!
Where are they now?
Such a shame not to see them more regularly. I hope they haven't gone into 'collections'.

Re: 1957 Daimler 104 Sportsman
Hello Chris. Yes it is a puzzle about the bulkhead plate. The plate on the chassis and the stamp on the engine correspond to the numbers on the bulkhead plate and there is no evidence of a transmission change so maybe just an error - cock-up rather than conspiracy? Does anybody have any idea where I...

Re: 1957 Daimler 104 Sportsman
Thank you for your good wishes Peter.
Were all pre-selector Sportsmans (Regency and 104) fitted with overdrive? I know the four and a half litre engines were offered only to be subsequently withdrawn or restricted and wonder if there was a choice of pre-selector gearboxes?

1957 Daimler 104 Sportsman
After a break of forty years I am again a Daimler Owner! Inspired by stories on the Forum, particularly John Barlow, I bought the 104 Sportsman from CC Auctions in June. Apologies to the under-bidders. I first saw it on the internet about a week before the auction but was abroad and couldn’t get to ...

Re: 1957 Daimler Majestic (Incorrectly described) Auction 17 June 2023
Sold for £13,750. Not sure if that includes commission. Quite a strong price considering the estimate. I paid £12,200 on 'the Hammer' and £14,030 inc premium and VAT As well as the misdecription the guide price was reflective of it being a non-runner (mainly because there was no battery!) but still...

Re: 1957 Daimler Majestic (Incorrectly described) Auction 17 June 2023
I went and looked at this and watched the auction. The hammer price was £12,200. Bidding was quite brisk between online, telephone and in the room. A couple in the room were interested and dropped out at £10,200. I believe I know who got it. Lives in central London. He has had Daimlers and Jensens ...
