Re: Voltage regulator help
I look at the electronic "upgrades" for regulators ignition and fuel pumps and wonder why? Old electro mechanicals need to be pampered in their old age but they still perform and often if they cause trouble, they are a roadside fix, but when an electronic upgrade drops out that's it, apart...

Re: NEC CLASSIC CAR SHOW
There is a point when the worm turns, the cost attending anything at the NEC has reached that point, the organisers and management of NEC have lost the plot, such huge entrance and parking costs put folks off, ticket sales drop off and so do the profits, so they put up the price to restore profits a...

Re: Voltage regulator help
Steve you clearly have a good basic knowledge and will find helpful Youtube videos on Google that explain the working, repair and adjustment of these beasts, there are several types as you know, so google your particular type. Re: Voltage regulator help
I would not be too quick to blame an error on you part Steve. It could well be the regulator failed and caused all your problems. I would be sending the regulator back to the manufacturer and hope they will treat you kindly. Frankly the old coils and relays regulators worked well for 50-60 years oft...

A1 is also connected via a coil or in your case an electronic circuit directly to the battery will always r...

Re: 2.5 V8 Rear Hub Removal
I don't think there is any subject more debated on the forum over the years that the hub removal topic. There have been so many suggestions, but it all boils down to the sensible use of brute force in the end. Like so many I struggled, in the end I used the biggest truck puller I could borrow a shor...

Re: Dart electrics
It does sound like poor earthing and that is usually the main earth from the battery to the engine and the link from the engine to the chassis, loosen the bolts and retighten will often cure it, but it can be corrosion in the connectors. There is also the possibility your battery is duff or not char...
