Re: Seized Piston Removal
Al, John's idea of inverting the block according to vertical alignment of the cylinder and wicking coke or the appropriate soaking fluids from the crank end of the piston is a very good idea. When it has soaked thoroughly, try to clock the piston in both directions with a dowel thru the base of the ...

Re: SP250 Windscreen bolts
Magnor, There are indeed 5 spacers inserted in the gasket to keep the compression limited and even across the seal. They are aluminum, slip into the gasket holes over the bolts and are shorter than the rubber so you will have compression, weather seal, and even rigidity of the frame to the car. The ...

Re: SP250 Modifications
Good choice getting a Dart ! I see two options: A: Return it to "as delivered status" by yourself and or others. When completed, retain safe and sequestered until an appropriate judging event is available, enter, accept prize, return car to sequestration. Repeat. OR B: Since they are only ...

Re: sp250 door locating bush
Mine on the drivers side was shot and worn so badly on one quadrant it was useless for any alignment whatsoever. I also used a piece of hose as the bushing and for the center receiver I ended up using a brass replacement faucet seat from a plumbers kit. It has a hex center and is adjustable in and o...

Re: Comic Strip
Super!!!
Many thanks my friend,
Google was a little overwhelming and did not separate out the SP panels from the sea of findings out there.
Seems like a better strip to follow than Popeye or Henry or li'l Abner.

Comic Strip
So I see on the DLOC face book page there is a large copy of a newspaper comic strip of Modesty Blaise in the windscreen of the car on display. Can't get the image large enough to see if there is actually a Dart drawn in the scenes. Or is it there just to reference the "storied past" of th...
