Re: Majestic Major automatic Gear Box
Hi Beat,
I had a look at the car two years ago. It needs a total mechanical rebuild. It was not used for many years.
It will take a lot of money and time to bring it back on the road.

Re: Glove box finish - DJ 254
Hi,
All Daimler glove boxes had a flocked finish.
You can buy flocking kits on Ebay in all different colours.
Most of the Daimler glove boxes where in a sandy beige colour.
Exept for the V8250 which was black in the centre dash and grey in the glove box.

Re: Exporting a Daimler to USA
Hi Mark, I know only this company who are operating from Bremen in Germany. I saw them on TV and they are specialist in classic car transport arround the world. On the TV show I was amazed about how they do it. They handled very very expensive cars. It might be worth a try. https://www.cfrcarshipper...

Re: Correct spark plug V8 250
Hi Dave,
The spark plug you want is Champion N5C. Nothing else please.
Also do not use the Champion N8 if you find any.
They would be old stock and we had issiues with the ceramic falling apart and causing engine damage.
All the best,
Chris

Re: Fluid Flywheel Issues
Hi Terry,
I had the same problem with a Conquest.
Check all the linkage that is operating the gear change.
There should be no play in it.
When this is fine it is just about setting the gearbox correctly.

Hi Beat, In the old days it was the golden rule to fill up the petrol tank before winter storage. Nowadays it is the oposite. Modern petrol gets useles after a couple of weeks in the petrol tank. It also gets very agresive to the petrol pipes. Next time you start the engine from cold try a bit of st...

Re: V8 saloon left to right conversion.
Hi Ivor, You have bought a rare car being a LHD V8. Please do not convert it. I have done it twice from RHD to LHD. You will need: Complete wooden dash. Instrument plastik stripe on dash. (Small instruments are in different place). Steering box. Steering column. New wiring loom. Pedal box. Accelerat...
