Note the workshop manual gives the specification for the oil pump dimensions. Length of the driving shaft protruding from end of spiral gear should be 11.85" or 300.990 mm
You should be able to check this and move the gear if necessary.

Interestingly I bought some disc shields from Manners a few years ago - old stock I think. They sent a non-matching pair - ie not mirror images of each other but a completely different right hand one. They managed to find a correct one when I queried.

I have the mixing formulae for P030 cellulose ICI paints which includes the 5619 Cream /Ivory but not certain about exact matches to other manufacturers' paints

Yes I have a spare 35852 gearbox. I used it in my DJ254 when its original gearbox misbehaved, and it worked well.
Original gearbox is back in the car so the spare is available - in Bakewell, Derbyshire.
