Re: Flexolite spin on filter conversion

Hi I had Margaret's done some years ago. When I had the engine rebuilt I found the fibreglass was badly cracked and reinforced the inner wing with metal plates either side to ensure the forces when changing the filter did not pull the filter away. The car is an A spec so the original fibreglass is a...

Re: V8 250 Braking Problem

Hi John
Did you replace the hoses. I had a problem with the inner hose collapsing and not releasing the fluid back to the master cylinder.

Re: Mission of mercy to help my old dad out!

Hi Dave
I have a copy of the magazine you are looking for. Unfortunately it is part of a complete collection from 1996 to the present. I live in Fareham and would be willing to copy the pages your friend requires. If that yould be any help.

Re: Withdrawal of Driving Licence for medical reasons

Hi The rules seem to have changed the list of notifiable medical conditions is enormous, have a look on the DVLA web site. Or perhaps not or there will be no cars on the road. There is a £1000 fine for not registring when your told and or course your insurance is not valid for driving when banned. T...

Withdrawal of Driving Licence for medical reasons

Hi I have just been fitted with a pacemaker/defibrilator and need to contact the DVLA to hand in my driving licence for 6 months. I tried to do it on line but had to verify with the Post office which came up with the conclusion that I do not exist, I wish the Inland Revenue would take the same view!...

Run Click And Collect

Hi all Another use for the SP and we did not get stopped by the boys in blue. The car has not run for about 6 months, it started on the button with a bit of a cough but it soon cleared, showed no signs of high temperature so I suppose the isolation worked. I will try the V8250 next week which has sa...

Re: Insurance

Hi Until now I would have recommended Peter James. I have 5 cars including 2 fairly modern ones with what I thought was 3 named drivers, Margaret, my 50 year old son and me. With this lock down thing I read the small print and found that my son was not included as a named driver for my XJ supercharg...

Re: Are garages open for repairs and MOTs?

If you look on the BBC web site it gives information on the MOT and garage situation as it stands at this time. Or you could go in a classic which is exempt.
