Re: Ebay and strange listing
Well, he asked me for £4000 and I sent a mail asking if he would accept £4000 in cash, on collection. Now he has said the bidding is over that and he wants £4900 he wants the best price "It's logic really". I am not sure from which galaxy this p**t hails but I sent a message telling him th...

Re: Ebay and strange listing
I am not sure what he is up to. One minute he will take £4800 and I went off to make enquiries about shipping, which he could arrange for £170. Then the bidding went over £5000 and I gave up, just keeping an eye on it. Then, despite the fact that it was doing quite nicely, he re-listed it, claiming ...

Ebay and strange listing
Now I know that ebay has produced some strange phenomena but could anyone make comment on the following please. Someone has listed an engine and gearbox on ebay. I watched the item and then it disappeared and I suspected that someone had made a private deal with the seller as does happen. Then it re...

Re: DS420 Wheels and tyres
It seems Monroe make what they call "Gas Riser" shock absorbers but of course they don't list Daimler. However, should you ask them, as they have ones to fit XJ from 1969 onwards they might have ones that fit DS420s as they are, essentially, a MK10 floor pan with a nicer body on top.

Re: DS420 Wheels and tyres
Have you considered fitting air assisted shock absorbers? I am not sure if that's the correct term for them but I had a set on a car that allowed the user to "pump up" the pressure in the rear shock absorbers to allow for increased tail load when towing. You could always pump them up befor...

Re: Adjustable webbing
As I typed the entry I suspected that someone might suspect this as being an April Fool's joke and who thought it was and advised Peter accordingly was VERY far from correct. As for falling on someone's head that's not the suggestion I was looking for and not a very pleasant one either. What had ask...

Adjustable webbing
I have been trying to find a way to lift items using a forklift but instead of lifting from underneath where the forks might either not be long enough, my home made extensions too deep or where either method might damage what I wish to lift. I have the facility to make a frame that can be lifted by ...

Why not use a company such as Villiers Services. 01384 265797 or Auto and Industrial 01462 834778?

Re: ELS 24 exhaust.
You might like to consider Powerflow Exhausts. They work on a franchise basis but they should be able to supply a system made to measure. I am not sure how they deal with back pressure etc as its not normally a case of shoving any old exhaust box on to the end of some pipe. The only problem, if you ...

Re: Joke !
An Englishman, Welshman, Scotsman and Irishman are captured while fighting in a far off foreign land and the leader of the captors says "We're going to line you up in front of a firing squad and shoot you all in turn. However, firstly you can each make a final request." The Scotsman says &...
