engine parts wanted....

Post by tjt77 »

hoping someone can help out :- Im starting to re-asemble a project that as taken apart some time back. It is a '67 V8 2 1/2 litre saloon and there are some issues with existing parts :- dynamo bracket had been broken and suffered a badly hacked repair.. the engine block was essentially beyond economical repair having been left with the cylinders full of coolant for close to 3 decades.. No 4 main bearing cap is also broken ..seems to be a common issue as the replacement block i obtained also has a broken main been rg cap ( no 2)
so Im seeking :- (1) a dynamo bracket. (2) and alternator bracket form post '67 car so i have the option to upgrade to alternator .
(3) some used main bearings caps that I can fit and then line bore to to size....OR if anyone out there has made some steel replacements and has them available.. all the better.
(4) a set of valve guides that are already machined to accept a modern seal, (5) an oil pump cover plate .. the part that sits in the oil and has pick up tube.. ( original oil pump went missing.. replacement block had a modified SP 250 sump and the oil pump cover has been cut off)
also looking to find someone who can reface the cam followers, which always seem to have wear issues .
I'm located in USA.but postage from Uk is straightforward for itmes under 2 KG . In addicting to asking for help here, i will contact the specialists I know of. thank you,
