"Daimler" sign.

Post by Stan Thomas »

What is the origin and purpose of the large "Daimler" signs sometime (very wrongfully) fitted to some cars - an example being the one on the 1923 Daimler currently advertised on carsand classics:

Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can buy one - and I swear its not to go on my car!!!

Stan.

It looks like a '60's daimler bus badge....

They occasionally come up on eBay.
