SP250 rear end case

Post by pjbowman »

I'm still in search of a rear end for my car. Turns out the actual rear end case seems to have been possibly damaged in the past, and one of the axle tubes rewelded to the diff case, and the tube was welded at a slight angle, which evidently put the stress on the carrier 'ear' and is what caused it to fracture. So, anyone know where I might get a rear end in the US (condition 1 or 2, rebuildable or even empty case), or if there is another rear end (Austin Healey, Triumph, etc.) That just swaps in?

Peter:
If you're in the US, you should try John Carey, who is located in Ipswich, Mass just North of Boston.

I would phone him first as he's not always quick with email.
