V8 250 Saloon Power Steering Pump

Post by captain bobo »

Sadly my pump is beyond repair: the valve has gone so the pressure fades. The seal kit and bearing have been installed, but apparently to remove the valve (which I'm told is pressed in to the pump) usually ends up destroying the pump for some reason.

I'm looking for the Adwest power steering pump as fitted to the later V8 250 models. It's manufactured by Holbourn Eaton (I think the spelling is correct) for a 1969 Daimler V8 250 saloon. So, anyone breaking a saloon out there or if anyone can put me in touch with a source I'd be grateful.
Best wishes, Dave B

Dave, I don't think there is any part that cannot be removed from Hobourne Eaton steering pumps.
