Large box spanner - Lanchester 15/18

Post by ranald »

Does anyone have a spare box spanner they would consider selling to me or know where I can get one. It is for the 6 sided brass nut on the oil filler for the gear case and measures 1 7/8" (47.625mm) between flats. Thank you.

Could you use one of these?
Well I had hoped to post a link to Amazon where they have multi-flat sockets for removing oil filters but 73mm sockets are available

Thank you for your reply. I initially recorded the measurement incorrectly ( 1" to much !!). Anyway, i've amended my original post. The measurement is 1 7/8" between flats. If anyone can help it will be appreciated.

You could try this link or hunt for a 48mm socket

Your local Halfords will probably have a metric equivalent.

Thanks for your replies. The Triumph motorcycle one looks perfect.
