Conquest water pump wanted. Either a good reconditioned one or one needing reconditioning (to obtain a reconditioned one). Both John Nash and David Beales are showing no stock for these at the moment. Thanks.

There is a pump for a lj200 on eBay , isn’t this the same as the conquest? Also a couple of sellers are selling connwuest parts. I do have a conquest pump spare, but was intending on keeping it for my lj until I have it running and know the one fitted is ok

Thanks all. Both John Nash and Derek sleigh have come up trumps so it looks as though I should be sorted. Is removal an easy job? the manual doesn't cover it surprisingly!

Years since I did one, but I don't recall any major problems.

Just wondering whether the fan will need to come off first so that it clears the radiator. The only reference to the water pump in my manual is that it has to be removed before removing the radiator.

My mistake it is in the manual. Not in 'Cooling' where I was looking but in 'Engine' chapter.

Andy,

It is an easy job, but not much space to radiator - be careful of radiator fins especially if radiator has been re-cored. My experience is that newer fins are not up to Daimler standards!

Thanks Chris, will it come off with the fan or is it better to remove the fan to provide more wriggle room?
