Do you think soaking the nipples with Plus Gas (NOT WD40 !!) and leaving them for a few hours / overnight may help ??
I have often found this does work and gentle moving back & forth with the addition of extra Plus Gas applied.
With regard to replacement nipples, Namrick (Nut & Bolt Store) in East Sussex do a decent range in brass and cover your UNF size. I use them a lot being only twenty minutes away, they are spot-on and very helpful. I have attached their bleed nipple page FYI.
