I think you'll have trouble finding piping in leather from the auto suppliers - it's usually leathercloth ('faux' leather) The upmarket furniture and upholstery suppliers might be a better bet. Somewhere like this or this example.

If you go the 'ready-made' route do make sure that the cord inside the leather is the right thickness. I've see cord in a reupholstered car seat which is too thin and looked ridiculous so get a sample.
I needed some piping a while ago and had it made up by a saddler with a beefy sewing machine to deal with leather.
This is interesting and may help/inspire you

Thanks nick and Barry. I will try some furniture upholsterers and keep searching . There is a lot of faux piping, but I would like leather.

Hello Graham,

For my second shot - might be worth trying BAS International who do a substantial amount of trimming for Jaguars - an excellent company with quality material. They may be able to assist with some piping, but if not will certainly be able to suggest alternative outlets.

I have usually dealt with Jack, a most helpful chap.

Good luck.

I've had very good service from Martrim in the past, although for Viny, l not leather. Good luck.
