Having just completed another long (250 mile) round trip my only niggle this time was the fuel sensor (float) that I had fixed has either got stuck or broke - as mine was a Heath Robinson Repair does anyone have a fuel tank float sender for sale for and DB18 Consort.
Car has now done three weddings an opera and a funeral

I have one but after nearly 70 years the cork is just black rotted and lost its buoyancy, no good to man nor beast.
A local member bought a modern unit off the web complete with gauge for £15 and played around with it altering the arm length until it gave a reasonable reading. He tells me that most are bottom fixing and finding a top fixing one was a job.
However I’ve got better things to do with my time and rely on my trusty bamboo rod to tell me how much fuel I have. Normally, I put 45 litres in, I know that’s about 200 miles.

The + was disconnected in sender unit from tank inside. It was easy to add thin wire and lead it to outside under one of screws. Has been working fine for abt 6 years now. :)
