Hello,
Has anyone managed to source the rubber strip that is used to hold the carpet edges in place on Conquest models (maybe others as well)?
Its a U shaped section with odd legs, about 45mm wide.
Any help appreciated.

Henry,
I replaced this on one car last year. I obtained the rubber from COH Baines. Part number is IRS0883EP.

Re: Conquest or Century carpet retaining rubber
Thanks Chris,
I spoke to Baines today and they are looking for a suitable rubber but haven't responded yet. They seem to think they have a J section that might fit the bill but it's special order, so may have order a vast amount!
Thanks for pointing out the 0883 section - does it work satisfactorily?

Re: Conquest or Century carpet retaining rubber
I think I was following Mike Gray’s advice when I did mine last year. The rubber turned out extremely well. I installed it with a steel strip through the “U”, fixed with pop rivets.

Re: Conquest or Century carpet retaining rubber
Thank you Chris and Mike,
Failing all else, I will go with the 0883 section rubber.
However COH Baines have come up with something that looks like the original profile. Unfortunately, it would be a special with a minimum order. I am going to ask around to see if there is any interest.
