It amazes me how helpful people are on forums.
I had a problem with the Rover 2000. (Clonk on steering - turned out to be the steering idler was not bolted up tight enough) I posted the problem on the Rover 2000 Facebook page and within minutes I had an answer (well several actually) and was able to fix the car within minutes.
How did we get on before the Internet, eh?
Usual was to write to the magazine and then wait 2 months whilst it was printed and then another month while someone replied!!!

Re: Forums are Great...............
I could not agree more Neil, the old forum, this forum and the Austin 10 forum I am also a member of have been a gold mine for me and it is the generosity of the forum members that is most remarkable.
When I was sorting my SP chassis some years ago I posted a question about the brake caliper bolts. I was forced to take mine apart to remove a most stubborn piston, within 10 minutes I had the answer and ordered the bolts from Barry Thorne they came two days later and the job was done.
When I bought my 15 the support I got and the time spent by them in helping me by members of this forum was nothing short of incredible.

I also have two rover p6 cars, have found them to be very helpful, forums are definitely fantastic, Facebook is very instantaneous however posts are lost very far down the line. I myself run a few groups on facebook, one having 6000 members.

Well I agree with Neil, also the new DB18 forum is excellent and must be one of the best for information on just one model.
