Genuine barn dust

Post by Sydsmith »

Recently advertised on Facebook, sorry I can't get the link to copy.

Genuine barn dust. Turn a £100 banger into a £2,000 barn find. Put car into old barn lower the tyre pressure and sprinkle our barn dust over the body and turn it into a valuable find. Only £500 for a 10 kg tub, carriage free.

Try this one. I think you'll have to enter it manually. Just a search for "genuine barn dust" will suffice.

Very similar to another enterprising idea I had a while ago - for which I applied to Dragons Den for £1.000.000 funding for 2% of the business.

I got the idea whilst circulating the Isle of Man during T.T. week. I thought what the world needs is some means of how to impress your fellow motorcylists that you have ridden very very fast.

So I came up with "MORGUE-FILLA" dead-fly aerosol".

At £4.99 a can, you spray it liberally over the front of your coat, goggles or visor to make it appear you have been riding terribly fast.

I'll make you an offer, I'll give you £2, but I want 1.000.000 percent of the business

I've come up with another great money-spinner!!

To market boxes of assorted tappet clearances - although I'm still working on the equivalent for sleeve valve engines.

P.S.
This may be my last post on the subject as Matron has hidden my crayons.

Rumour has it that Deborah Meaden took your crayons and sold them on ebay

I have spent the past few days crawling around local old farm building lofts and have managed to gather quite a few bags of genuine barn dust and what a bit of luck, fleabay just sent me a free selling offer, so you can now buy my genuine barn dust, 2 oz, enough for a large car, special offer £19.99 post free saving £5 on the normal price.

P.S. I wonder how much longer it will be before the powers that be move this to the joke page :D

Is there a danger that, just like the Spartoi warriors, many threads will spring up in its place ?

I could move the posts, but I think the joke topic is best for one-liners and this topic already has a lot of posts. I could also move the posts to Parts For Sale as I'm sure barn dust is for sale and would add to a barn-find's value.
A good example was last night's Bangers and Cash where someone bought a very dirty and original Mark 1 2-door Ford Escort for over £7,000 but a few weeks later decided that he didn't want to restore it after all, so he put it back into auction clean but with no work done and it sold for £750 less! That's the value of barn dust.
