White Rose

Post by captain bobo »

On the old forum, some members may recall me telling about my work as a volunteer at the Shuttleworth Collection (Old Warden, Bedfordshire) and showing pictures of the two buses that I'm responsible for driving & maintaining: a 1913 double-decker Leyland & a 1921 Leyland Charabus.

Recently we took delivery of a unique 1923 single decker Leyland called the White Rose. She was a tour bus in North Wales & is a stunning example of coachbuilding on a large scale. The picture shows me standing rather proprietorially with her when she was delivered to Old Warden. We use her mainly for weddings & formal functions.
