I'm reminded of an aged Canon (No, not me!) who used to aver that "all change is undesirable, even if it is change for the better." Grateful thanks to both the old and the new webmasters.

The possible answer to why people are hidden is because "hide" is the default (or was in my case). I couldn't understand why I seemed to be hidden until I went into my profile and unclicked "hide"

How do you hide yourself? Surely you're either a registered user or not.

Click your name, top right, then User Control Panel, then Board Preferences, Hide my online status: Yes. You will have to log out and login again for it to take effect.
