Would it be possible to show members rough location under their name when posts are made, or would that contravene some Data Protection?
The reason I ask this is that when members ask for suppliers or recommendations it would help to know where they are. It's no use recommending a bolt supplier in Essex when the member lives in Scotland or Australia.
I notice some locations are displayed and some are not, is this an option I have missed?

Location is an option that members can state if they want. We can't force existing members to state location but could suggest that they do.
New members could be forced to show location, John H and I will think about it.

I agree, often people ask for help and we have no idea if local or not. They only have to put their town like J B and I have done.

That was stupid of me, I haven't put the location on mine. I'll blame it on old age!
