The Flying Scotsman is on TV at the moment. A previous owner was Alan Pegler - any relationship to our Alan Pegler?

Not the same guy, I watched the show on Iplayer a few weeks ago, an amazing feat of engineering and was a great watch.

.......but unfortunately costing the taxpayer ten times what it ought to have done if the restoration had been done correctly in the first place.

Moral. Don't let someone who knows nothing about steam engines project manage a restoration.
