Noise?

Post by New Dexter »

A friend of mine has a new addition to his household, it's a cross breed with a hint of collie. Knowing how much he "enjoyed" the racket from the dog next door I asked if his new dog barked. Apparently it was nice and quiet. He was not sure it could be persuaded to bark either.

His selfish and thoughtless neighbours and I have my share of those, seem unaware that their alsation is anything but perfect. I suggested he could record the racket that their dog made and play it back to them through loudspeakers only to be told that to do so was illegal and that he would be in line for an ASBO if he did so. Eh?. It's OK for them to inflict their dog's noise on him but not for him to return the favour?

There must be something wrong somewhere

"Ears agoo" (as they say in Bermingum) our next door neighbour used to lock his dog in the toilet on Saturday nights whilst they went on the raz - so one night I recorded it.

After they had returned and gone to bed, I waited until the early hours then played it back ever so quietly and turned up the volume by small increments until as I had hoped, their dog could just about hear it - and started barking. When I heard them tramp down stairs I turned things of - that was until they had pacified the dog and returned upstairs to bed.

I then reated the exercise a few more times!
