"Lease of Life"

Post by Stan Thomas »

There is an excellent channnel on T.V. called "Talking Pictures" (freeview 81) dedicated to old films - of which they recently screened the 1954 Robert Donat film "Lease of Life".

In the film, there are several scenes where the family travel to and from a cathederal in a large (sleeve valve?) Daimler limo, bearing the reg number KH 8919.

Notwithstanding it could have been a ficticious number for filming purposes, and notwithstanding the number does not flag up with the D.V.L.A., it would be nice to think the car has survived after all these years.

So does anyone know of its whereabouts today???

P.S.
Talking pictures more often than not re-run their films several times - so look out for it if you will.

No I don't know of it's whereabouts but I do regularly watch the "Talking Pictures" channel. Great films, nostalgia and of course classic cars!
