Details or rather the lack of them

Post by New Dexter »

Like many people I use ebay, amongst other places, to look for items I wish to buy. Ebay does not charge anything extra for a detailed description of the item for sale.
Why, therefore, do some people list something and give as little detail as possible? I was searching for a 4 post lift and you'd think that some people had thought that they were being charged per word. One of the basic things would be the dimensions of the bed itself, the safe working load etc and yet their get out is "any questions just give me a call".
One would tempted to write a message something like "Why you lazy blighter don't you give a full and detailed description instead of expecting people to guess? Don't you want to sell it?"
