I have a cut-off saw which uses a car type fuel pump as a coolant/lubricant pump. I was informed that it was actually one from a FIAT car but I cannot identify which one. I have looked at several on the internet where they are markedly cheaper than the one available from the saw's manufacturer
Some of those for sale on the internet do not have the shoe, do I take it correctly that this is removed from the old one and fitted to the new?
I have attached a couple of photographs

Coolant pump for saw
Re: Coolant pump for saw
That's a lift pump for a diesel which really narrows it down, depending on age it's almost certainly common to most EU diesels, either 1.4, 1.9 or 2.2, if 2.2 it's the PSA engine, keep the tap that is not part of the car pump.
Owner since the 70's, Genghis is slightly to my left.
