Pictures

Post by Sydsmith »

I have over 3000 photos in my pictures folder going back to 2007, we have a HP Home Server backup system so they are not at risk, but I have not made any hard copies for the past ten years.

A large percentage are photos of restoration projects in progress and at completion.

Whilst we are confined to barracks and when I am not outside in this great weather, I am working on moving them all into categories and selecting stuff for printing. I am lucky to have a very good photo printer and a good supply of toner so the results are good. When done they will go into albums, when I can get them when this thing is past.

My grand children love leafing through our old photo albums as do like minded friends. They are all excluded from access to the ones on my hard drive, hopefully this will solve that problem and take up some of the time, especially when as it must, the rains come.

That's good. If you tried to upload them all here it would probably bust the database, but a few would be nice to see here, perhaps you can think of a theme and display a few. Or set up your own website like the DB 18 website and Darren Watkins' website. I would be interested to see your 1936 Daimler 15 Mulliner sports saloon as my father had a Mulliner coupe version: http://www.broadchalke.info/burrough/familycars.php
Remember that Kevin Bennett always likes one or two for the DM cover.

Thanks for the comments John and yes when the sorting is completed, I am moving everything into folders whilst I am at it I will investigate how to send pictures here (I have a fair idea). With so many photos all mixed, family and many projects other than cars will need some time, something I think I am going to have for a few weeks perhaps.

I will send you a PM with a photo of the Mulliner. Syd

Or better still, have them on the club website.... I’m asking for content but none ever comes.

Graham,

I would be happy for you to lift some EL24 pictures from my website for the Club site if they are useable.

Mark
