Met a "happy man"

Post by Bud »

I was at the Syracuse Nationals Car Show Event yesterday and met the gent who made off with Payton Fireman's SP stash. Besides the new complete engine and Supra trans conversion he was after, he was the receiver of an enormous amount of SP parts and tools and has his eyes set on returning an SP he has to service in its "present state" with some things and keeping the rest of the goodies for yet another car he will return to show room condition. That's the second and possibly the third SP that people I have met at this Show Car, Custom Car, and Hot Rod event have actually gotten back on the road.
Who knew that just seeing my car, being as different from the norm that it is, would stimulate others efforts to jump on board the SP train.
He also told me that the DLOCNA is meeting again in Cornell, NY in Aug. Last time at the rally in 2001 there were Nine SP's including mine. Wonder how many will be there this year?

Can never get any current info on the DLOCNA. Just got off an hours search to confirm this Meeting of the Marque with no results. Anyone have any knowledge of this or dates etc.?
