Personalised numbers

Post by Sydsmith »

I am not a great fan of personalised numbers but here's a question.

Lets say I have a vehicle which missed the cut off point for recording on the DVLA computerisation program, the registration number lets say is SS8888.

The DVLA have no record of it and I have nothing except the chassis number to confirm the vehicle does exist, DVLA refuse to accept the registration number and issue an age related number.

Is there any reason why I should not then apply to DVLA for SS8888 the real number as a personalised number and then transfering it onto SS8888?

Has any one done it sucessfully?
