Drive-It Day 2021

Post by migray »

I went to the soon to be opened "Great British Car Journey" at Ambergate, Belper Derbyshire today. They don't open officially until May 22nd but for drive-it day there is a lot of parking, refreshments and toilets today, and quite a few cars.
Lovely destination and looks to be a great venue for future meetings. https://www.greatbritishcarjourney.com/

A nice and probably quite rare Fraser Nash at my local pub.

I took my Dart out yesterday once and twice today but didn't see many classic cars, just a red MG TC or TD in the distance and a convertible with four happy windblown people, probably an old Austin 12 Tourer rather like this one as far as I could tell as it whizzed past my gate.

I took the Lanchester out for a run up the Clwyd Valley and through Ruthin. I was amazed to see so many classic cars out. Lots of cheery waves!
